Wauchope Patchwork group began more than ten years ago, when a group of students completed a series of classes with Robin Gartner and wished to continue their craft and friendship. It has grown to approximately 60 members, who meet weekly, from Wauchope and surrounding areas.

A Bi - Annual Quilt show is held with the proceeds of raffle quilts donated to local charities and organizations. A quilt block exchange, taking 9 months, has just been completed with Robin Gartner's Western Australian group. Approximately 80 quilts have been given to Bundaleer Hostel so that every bed has an attractive covering that doubles as a cosy lap quilt. Tuition workshops are held every few months at weekends where visiting tutors teach the many skills and techniques associated with this craft.

The members are busy sewing and planning for the next Quilt Show to be held at Wauchope Showground next May 4, 5 & 6. New members are always welcome and beginners shown the basics which are really very simple and easily mastered.
