SING THE CAMINO - singing workshop with Jessie Vintila (10am Sat Feb 24, 2018)
- vocally gifted and fun, Jessie's workshops are a wonderful celebration of Spanish, bluegrass and folk
Jessie Vintila is a gifted choir director and arranger.
She runs the 80-strong Raise the Roof Choir in Northern NSW, and travels widely sharing her love of vocal harmony via her singing workshops.
On Saturday February 24, she will be sharing the bluegrass, gospel and folk songs from her Spanish travels at a singing workshop.
Singers of every kind and experience-level are welcome to attend.
Jessie's workshops give people a unique opportunity to express themselves, and apparently the participants often impress themselves with the gorgeous music they become a part of.
In addition to running the workshops, Jessie and fellow Lucky Wonders band-member, Emma Royle, have used their love of music, walking, travelling, food and wine to create Sing the Camino, a very special and innovative tour. The pair takes groups to sing and walk through Northern Spain along the ancient Camino de Santiago pilgrim track, walking by day and singing by night, sometimes with local musicians.
Early bird tickets priced at $30 are available at www.singthecamino.com, along with details of the Sing the Camino tours.

FLATS AND SHARPS (Friday Mar 23, 2018)
- effortlessly entertaining ...sublime 5-part harmonies
Hailing from Cornwall(UK) (UK), Flats and Sharps blur the lines between Bluegrass, Folk, Country and Pop, performing their own highly original songs as well as their renditions of Bluegrass classics.
These five incredible young musicians, Kirk Bowman (banjo), Mikey Ponsford (mandolin), Josh Warner (guitar), Danny Hart (fiddle) and Liam Fitzharris (double bass), honed their skills in hundreds of live performances over the past six years, charming and wowing audiences along the way.
In 2018, they return to Australia for a longer tour that includes the National Folk Festival again and the Blue Mountains Festival . They will also be launching a brand new CD, 'The Bluegrass Album', which is fullof traditional Bluegrass music - "the material we grew up with and still perform to this day".
Local Support: Spiral Time (Susan & Tom)

"...effortlessly entertaining ...sublime five part harmonies ...the pace of their performance is breathtaking - I recommend seeing Flats and Sharps at the earliest opportunity.

*ONLINE TICKET SALES - www.trybooking.com
Wauchope Arts is trialling a system where a portion of some event tickets is available for purchase online - this is the preferred option for some performers, and it's a convenient way for audience members to purchase tickets.
A quantity of tickets will be also available for sale at the door for each event.

If the TryBooking website indicates an event is SOLD OUT, you can enquire how many tickets have been held for sale the door by SMS message to 0429 854 733.
We always strive to support members, particular those who support Wauchope Arts by regularly attending events, so if you experience any problems, please provide your feedback by email - webmaster@wauchopearts.org.au.
