Welcome to Wauchope Arts

Welcome to our home on the web. This is where you find out what’s happening at Wauchope Arts as well as other community arts news. This site provides an information service to our members and anyone who is interested in attending or getting involved in the events and activities offered by the Wauchope Community Arts Council. We are a group of passionate volunteers who value the role of the arts in community building and we aim to provide diverse cultural experiences for Wauchope and beyond.

The Wauchope Community Arts Hall is just that - community. It is one of the most intimate venues in the Hastings that attracts acts of extraordinary quality and it feels as if they are playing in your lounge room with a bunch of your best friends.

LIVE MUSIC, MOVIES, FUNDRAISERS ...
.... it's all happening at the Wauchope Arts Hall

Come to the Wauchope Arts Hall on Sat morning to celebrate the official opening of our fabulous new outdoor Meeting Place.
The grand opening ceremony at 11am will be followed by lunch.
Thanks again to all involved in the project - everyone from the planners, visionaries and project managers, to the volunteer labourers, painters and mosaicers, plus the talented tradies and building pros.
We couldn't have done it without the generous material donations and great project management skills of Susan and her team.
The final product is a triumph and a real community effort.
Well done!!

ON THE STOOP - seven piece band
also on Saturday June 25, 2016
On The Stoop - Serge Stanley: lead vocals, accordion, ukelele, sax; Ellen Kirkwood: trumpet, vocals; Mat Lee: sax, vocals; Joe Cummins: trumpet, vocals; Pete Lothian: trombone; Tim Bradley: drums; Joe Manton: electric bass; Dirk Kruithof: guitar
On The Stoop are making a mark with their own style of original sound and their continually unpredictable original music.
As they bounce between infectious Eastern-European, Tango, Balkan and Spaghetti-Western, this band of fine musicians has all that is required to bring romance, anguish, exuberance and insanity to their music.
With roots in vaudeville, theatre, the blues and Balkan music, On The Stoop create music both for a wide audience, and will no doubt charm the Wauchope Arts crowd.
"A front man on the accordion, two blasting horns, a kick ass rhythm section and an addiction to dangerous, iconoclastic music drive this group."

*ONLINE TICKET SALES - www.trybooking.com
Wauchope Arts is trialling a system where a portion of some event tickets is available for purchase online - this is the preferred option for some performers, and it's a convenient way for audience members to purchase tickets.
A quantity of tickets will be also available for sale at the door for each event.
Given the Arts Hall is a small venue, it can be difficult to seat everyone, so we have adopted a No-Reserved-Seating policy - this means seats are allocated on arrival, so please arrive on time!
If the TryBooking website indicates an event is SOLD OUT, you can enquire how many tickets have been held for sale the door by SMS message to 0429 854 733.
We always strive to support members, particular those who support Wauchope Arts by regularly attending events, so if you experience any problems, please provide your feedback by email - webmaster@wauchopearts.org.au.
Thank you for your ongoing support and patience during this trial phase.
